Common Questions
What types of clients do you with?
Wellness instructors have expertise working with diverse clients to improve their physical health through traditional fitness programs (like weightlifting and aerobics) as well as other approaches like yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. The approach of instructors is careful, patient, supportive, nonjudgemental, and encouraging. Thus, they work well with clients of all fitness levels.
What services do you offer?
The goal of our personal training consultation and yoga services is to allow busy people to gain the guidance of certified professionals without the committment of a long-term contract. (We do offer long-term services too!) Clients often meet with instructors one or two times for a baseline evaluation and to develop an individualized plan that can be followed on their own. It is clear that developing a healthy lifestyle is a life-long quest...but learning about physical fitness doesn't have to be. In just a few sessions, you can learn the core components of physical fitness-
including core stability, appropriate weight lifting routines, cardio routines to suit a variety of fitness levels, and more! You can also learn some basic yoga routines that will improve balance, flexibility, muscle tone, and hopefully, a tool to help your mind and body relax!
The instructors with which CBHW work practice mind-body medicine and has received training from the prestigious Benson-Henry Institute of Mind Body Medicine at Harvard Medical School, as well as other highly recognized programs.. As such, instructors teach clients the importance of relaxation and other restorative practices that help the body heal and the mind become calm.
